1. About This Policy
1719 Capital Research Terminal ("we", "us", or "our") operates the platform available at 1719capital.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and your rights in relation to it.
We are committed to data minimisation. We collect only the information strictly necessary to provide the Service, and we will never sell your data.
2. Data We Collect
Account data: When you create an account we collect your full name, email address, and a bcrypt-hashed password. Plain-text passwords are never stored.
Billing data: Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We store a Stripe Customer ID and subscription status. We do not store credit card numbers or full payment details.
Usage data: We collect anonymised events (page views, feature interactions) to measure platform performance. This data is not linked to identifiable individuals.
Technical data: Standard web server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps. These are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes, then purged.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect solely to:
- Authenticate you and maintain your session;
- Process and manage your subscription through Stripe;
- Improve product features using aggregated, anonymised analytics;
- Send essential transactional emails (e.g. password reset, billing receipts);
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose not listed above.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Contract performance — processing necessary to deliver the Service you signed up for;
- Legitimate interests — anonymised analytics to operate and improve the Service;
- Legal obligation — retaining records required by applicable law.

We do not share data with any other third parties, and we do not sell data.
6. Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will purge your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. billing records, which are retained for 7 years per financial regulations).
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure of your data; object to or restrict certain processing; and data portability.

8. Security
All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes with a cost factor of at least 12. Our database is hosted on Neon with encryption at rest. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated upon each revision.
